CASA – Hope for Children is a volunteer organization that walks with children who have been removed from their homes by the Department of Family and Protective Services. It is our job to be the eyes and ears of the judge as we look out for the best interest of the children. It is our privilege to get to know these children and be a consistent presence and support for the children during some of the most difficult times of their young lives. Our children have been physically and emotionally abused by the very people who are supposed to love and protect them.
Newborn babies are removed from the hospital and placed in care because the mother and infant tested positive for drugs. Some children do not survive withdrawals or injuries sustained from physical abuse. Our CASAs have gone to these precious babies’ bedside and stayed with them as they took their last breath. We have many success stories of children we have had a part in finding a forever home where they have flourished and developed into happy children. The best scenarios are the ones where the parents have overcome the obstacles before them and become good parents to their children. We as CASAs are there cheering and providing encouragement to them to work their services and cooperate with their caseworker.
It is with gratitude that organizations such as Texas Red Hot Radio and the numerous artists such as those who are associated with Texas Music open their hearts to help us in our quest to make sure every child has a CASA. We can’t do this alone and it means so much to us that you have heard the cries of the children and enable us to touch their lives through your generous support. We are excited that Texas Red Hot Radio has partnered with CASA in bringing this wonderful opportunity to the children of CASA.

When TRHR was formed in 2013, one of our missions was to combine our love for music and our philanthropic hearts so we could better serve the community and local charities. TRHR hosts several charity music events throughout the year that raises awareness and money for different charities that we feel a strong passion to support. Children’s charities are a top priority so TRHR is proud to support CASA with the donation of an autographed guitar to the silent auction.

THE GUITAR - We purchased the guitar and had it “skinned” with our logo of TRHR (upper right) as well as the show “Texas Unplugged” logo. The double R at upper left is the logo of a show location we held some of the shows at. When we have an artist on the show, we ask them to sign the guitar and we took a picture of them doing so or at least with the guitar to give the “winner” a photo-lineup of the artists who signed it. These shows may be either the radio shows we hold LIVE at venues around the metroplex or at special events where these Texas Music Artists are performing. There are photos of the artists signing the guitar or holding the guitar post signing. This will be placed in a collage and given to the winner of the auction.
